A very warm welcome to all my Singapore friends and any other Singaporeans who happen to a "surf" this page. Our family lived in Singpore on three occasions - 2 years at "30 Robin Rd, 2 years at 4a 3rd Ave, (off Bukit Timah) and finally in an apartment in the Colannade at 82 Grange Road. On the first two occasions we lived in Singapore in the '70's and the Colannade in the late '80's early '90's. We had many happy years in Singapore. I befriended many local friends with whom I am still friends even today! I also met many Trinidad friends who came to live in Singapore. I became a member of two local clubs, the Tanglin Club and the Singapore Cricket Club. In fact I was one of the first lady members of the Cricket Club. In the "old days" the Cricket Club was an all mens club! I used to play field hockey at the Cricket Club and tennis at the Tanglin Club. All in all I had many happy and wonderful years in Singapore and still visit there often even today to meet up with my friends. I am a "Snake" which is one of the signs of the Chinese zodiac. There are 12 in total. Those born in the year of the Snake are Queen Elizabeth 1, John F. Kennedy, Christian Dior, Bob Dylan, Pablo Picasso and Mahatma Gandhi so it seems that I am in the elite! The start of the years are from February 10th to January 29th. So if any of you who surf my site are one of these elite please send an e-mail to me. I would be interested to hear from you. It seems us Snakes are born under the signe of wisdom. As a Snake, we are guided by intuition, we are wise, intelligent and think deeply, but our intellect is restless, which causes us to change direction many times in life. Although we do not give up easily, we may well go though long periods of inactivity.
